Presidents not judged by 1 approval rating

Charles Krauthammer is a broken record. It's no surprise his latest column is yet another slam at President Barack Obama (“Agenda causes Obama's fall a year later,” Jan. 17). Krauthammer says Obama's presidency has been a failure, as evidenced by the fact that the president's approval rating has fallen to 46 percent.
Presidential approval ratings always have gone up and down.
According to Wikipedia (snipurl.com/u3za7) Ronald Reagan's lowest was 35 percent (his highest was 68 percent; Obama's was 69 percent). Can we call Ronald Reagan's presidency a failure based upon one snapshot in time that said 35 percent?
George W. Bush's highest approval rating was 90 percent (immediately after 9/11). It went on to sink to a near-record low of 25 percent by 2008.
Krauthammer is a cog in the vast right-wing propaganda machine. Its mission is to spew slander and propaganda 24/7 to try to destroy Obama, stop change and progress and keep the rich and powerful protected at the expense of the rest of us.
Any president's approval ratings would take a hit from such relentless attack.
