Presidential debate presented biased format

During Saturday's ABC News Republican presidential candidates debate, questioning rounds were interspersed with paid political messages from the very candidates who were debating! Basically, those with the deepest pockets could buy extra time to make their cases.
Besides the biased format, this certainly caused a conflict of interest for the ABC network employees who moderated. I think we should return to presidential debates run by universities and non-profit civic groups.
