President is using children as pawns

I used to live in America, the country that said, 'Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” The country that regulated the environment so citizens could have clean air, clean water, control emissions and eliminate pesticides. We protected banks and consumers from fraud, supported the FBI, CIA and all intelligence agencies, and, above all, valued the truth.
Then one day I woke up and discovered, to my horror, that I am living in the Land of Trump. It's a country that wants to deregulate everything, even to the point of allowing dangerous pesticides to be sold again. Trump Country is all about making money for the rich. Now the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is in danger of being abolished.
But the worst of Trump Land is the decision to separate children from their parents, and then have the gall to lie about why it was done. This isn't a law. It is the president being a bully and using these children as pawns so he can get funding for the wall, which, by the way, nobody wants.
One other thing, I guess it's hopeless to expect our president to start telling the truth after this long.
