Population cause of global warming

To the editor:
The world (i.e. mankind) has many problems. A popular one is global warming. I believe that mankind contributes to global warming, but I don't think we are the only cause. Fifty-some years ago, National Geographic had an article on the carbon cycle from carbon dioxide to carbon and back again. The article showed the sources and 'sinks.” At that time, mankind was responsible for only a few percent of the sources. Now our credentialed carbon scientists and our expanded modern society would certainly raise that percentage for mankind.
But that isn't the root cause of global warming if you want to blame it on mankind's 'industry.” The real problem is that there are too many of us and getting more every day. Our freewill generates more people every day and each one of us would like to have plenty to eat, a spacious comfortable home (heated and cooled as necessary), ample mechanical transportation and access to all the wonders of the world. Unless we can do something about our freewill to procreate more and more people there will be no limit to global warming until all our world's resources are used up and people die off. Sad, but true.
Now don't think I am the kettle calling the pot black because I am also that pot. I have enjoyed my free will and have sired five children. And most of the eight billion or so people on this earth are enjoying their ability to procreate also. Need I say more.
