Political leaders gratify their appetites

The United States of America finds itself on a slippery slope to extinction due to brutal societal polarization. What happened?

To adequately respond to such a worthy query, one must envision the Colonies of the 1700s when our Founders fought to free themselves from England's autocratic rule. King George III considered the colonists his subjects. The Revolutionary War transformed that concept.

Today, we find ourselves in a similar circumstance. However, our political leaders are vastly different from our Founders. Their appetite for money and power seem to mimic the character of King George. Their concerns rest with those entities who can gratify their appetites, not with their sworn duty to the people they are supposed to represent.

Enter the world government advocates whose sole clandestine purpose is to proliferate a borderless nation easily invaded by anti-American foreigners whose sole objective does not include the security and sovereignty of the American people.

In the United States we have a legal system; however, the fruits of cognitive dissonance blurs justice. Riots, burned buildings, looting, stopping traffic, attacking government workers, etc., connote a society lacking civility. Yet, such un-American conduct continues without reproach. Legislating from the bench, Chappaquiddick and illegal servers also come to mind. One might ask another crucial question - why do today's politicians continually dishonor our Founders' legacy via lies and innuendos disguised as concern for you, me and our Constitution? The answer lies with the electorate of a declining nation.
