Pets’ grave markers concealed by grass

On May 20, I drove to the pet cemetery on Mount Vernon Road in Cedar Rapids to put flowers on my three pets' graves and I couldn't find them because they were covered with old grass clippings. The cemetery was a disgrace. I tried using my cane to uncover some of the graves and gave up after having no luck finding my pets' graves after uncovering six graves.
Upon my arrival to the cemetery, there were a group of teenagers carrying large black trash bags starting to pick up sticks that were on the lawn. And when I asked one of the girls if all they were going to do was pick up fallen branches, she replied, 'yes.” I told her the grave markers needed to be cleaned off because I couldn't find my pets' graves. I was ashamed to think that the humane society thinks so little of our pets that are buried there.
I got in my car (with my flowers) and left and wished I could have taken my pets with me.
