Peters is the change we need in Congress

I support Dr. Christopher Peters for Congress in Iowa's 2nd Congressional District. I've known Chris many years and he is one of the most intelligent, reasonable and thoughtful people I've had the pleasure of knowing. He is passionate about his positions but also open to them being challenged and listens to other points of view. He will willingly engage in any discussion. He has the energy and drive to bring about change. As an Army veteran, he has shown his commitment to service. As a physician, he understands our health care challenges well. He has shown that he will be an independent voice in Washington and use that voice to get things done.
Our 12-year incumbent, Dave Loebsack, seems a decent person, but has not established himself as a legislator. He is an ineffective representative of our district.
I hear so many people call for more 'statesmen” in Washington, people who are independent thinkers who will stand up for what they believe while considering and respecting other ideas. We can send someone who will be that change. Please join me in voting for Peters.
