Perry-appointed agency tries to censor science

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is an agency that is run by political appointees appointed by Gov. Rick Perry. They contracted with the Houston Advanced Research Center to conduct research on the state of the Galveston Bay.
The resulting report contains conclusive scientific data that indicates that the ocean level is rising. The TCEQ has demanded that any data that indicates that the ocean level is rising be removed from the report before it is published. They fear that such data could be used to support the claim that the climate is changing.
The scientists have offered to remove their conclusion statements, which express their opinions about the cause of the ocean rising, but that is not good enough. The TCEQ wants to also suppress the scientific data.
This is a scary development and one we should be greatly concerned about. A government agency has taken the position that if they don't like the facts, it can suppress the facts. One might expect something like this in China, Russia or North Korea.
You should be alarmed that something like this is being attempted in our country. See www.ultimatewoodlands.com/stories/276731-events-woodlands-based-scientists-have-role-in-climate-controversy.
