People become followers in trial protest

During the second World War it seemed unbelievable that so many followed Hitler in the killing of fellow humans. But is not the same syndrome of following wayward leaders, perhaps to a lesser extent, found in our own country? We just had a trial of peers in the state of Florida where a man who was then declared innocent of wanton murder is still pursued.
A few instigators continue to whip up a frenzy of followers despite the trial's lawful conclusion. Obviously human nature can be more sheep like than stable societies continue to thrive on. Individual thinking too often bows to crowd mentality.
If we believe in our constitution, which is the embodiment of objective law, how could we form unruly crowds just because someone else declares it's time to march. March for what? Social justice? No, that came from the court. March for what then? To relieve the restlessness of some spirits and to keep society in turmoil; to require nothing less than a “pound of flesh?”
Right or wrong, their egos must be satisfied, at least for a time until the next “opportunity” presents itself. How sad it is to watch a once beautiful, lawful country splinter into the same ruination we see in most parts of the world today. “Sheep” are supposed to follow the shepherd, not the howl of the wolf.
