Peace on earth is attainable goal

To the editor:
Americans' acceptance of partial truths proves lying has become a natural way of thinking, and, I believe, telling half the truth is the same as lying. Because an incomplete truth left to the uncertainty of imagination gives fear, anger and ignorance the power to contaminate any knowledge. Creating conditions where a stagnate truth can transform the best of intentions into a poisonous harvest far worse than an untold truth.
America's brand of liberty will always fall short of the justice needed, because like faith, liberty cannot be won or lost when one believes in what it stands for - the power and opportunity to do something. Whether for better or worse it's the individual's choice and God's word says each of us will face the consequences of our choices in the end for an eternity. That's God's justice.
In this season of hoped for 'peace and good will” we hear the cries of 'no justice, no peace” from protesters seeking chaos by hindering another's choice to ignore them, contributing nothing to find solutions and doing little to contribute to the cause of 'justice.”
The liberty of choice to accept our responsibility to another, willingly taking any punishment for hindering their liberty, and sacrificing anything necessary to defend liberty is the beginning of justice.
Unfortunately, without truth there cannot be a justice to satisfy the court of public opinion, and for many, without Jesus' way, truth, and life there is no peace on earth.
