It's so sad to see that the National Public Radio and Public Broadcasting System have burned out. I used to watch and listen to them both regularly. Great programming. They were institutions! Then they made decisions to promote one political direction. It was a gradual shift, hardly noticeable, but they now totally support and praise the Liberal point of view, while condemning everything Conservative.
I don't believe the government should finance any media that supports a specific political agenda. I suppose the government could start up a competing pair of nationwide television and radio networks that support the Conservative agenda. No, our government already wastes too much money.
I guess PBS and NPR needed to be defunded. It's a shame that they haven't taken an unbiased position in regard to political matters. Like our own Gazette, they are running themselves out of business by refusing to be neutral and apolitical. Or maybe it's not too late ...
