Paying it forward reaps benefits

To the editor:
I invite everyone reading this to stop and think. Think about the people walking their dogs, who have to sludge through your unshoveled sidewalks. Think about those walking their dogs who pick up their dog's waste, when you do not and they encounter it.
Think about the person you just cut off in traffic and think about what those extra two seconds will do for your life, at the risk of the one you cut off. Think about those in the car in front of you, that you are tailgating even with a clear lane to the other side. What does this rudeness do for your life? Is it their fault you're running late?
Think about the person you cut in front of in line at the store, or raced to get to an open lane first. Again, why? Think about those around you, when you do not use that neat little gadget in your car that tells others when you are intending to make a turn. Think about the fun it isn't, to have that sudden surprise of a car turning in front of you with no warning (the entire point of a blinker).
That's the problem with people these days, they don't think of others. Think about how much good could be done for our world if we just stopped to think. For once. Pay it forward, it feels so good when you do. Put others before yourself. For once.
