Pay the House for time it deserves

When Donald Trump took office, he declared our world-leading economy to be in an "economic emergency." This has given him dictatorial powers to harm the world economy and hold consumers hostage in his tariff war. The U.S. Senate has now voted to end this fake emergency.
Since the House must pass this resolution in a specified number of days, House Speaker Mike Johnson and his party passed a unique rule to avoid the vote. "The time until Oct. 31, 2025 is declared to be one day." Therefore, they can delay the vote. It's nonsense, but he and his party must believe it really is true.
So, I propose the House Republicans receive just one day's pay until October 31. It's only fair; if they won't work for us when we need them, we won't pay them.
