Paul not even close to a typical politician
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Americans are sick of politicians, including Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney and President Obama, who say one thing and do another - media darlings or bought by special interests. Our family is voting for Ron Paul in 2012 because he is the only candidate who stands for the Constitution and civil liberties and he has the voting record to prove it. The latest Rasmussen poll shows Paul at 41 percent to 42 percent when matched up against Obama. Paul can win.
Of the Republican candidates, Paul receives
71 percent of all donations made by men and women serving in the military. That's more than twice what the rest of the Republican candidates combined receive. And when you add in Obama, Paul receives
51 percent of all donations made by people serving in the military - more than any other candidate (Federal Election Commission's July report.) Paul is in the right place on foreign policy and the military has given him their overwhelming support.
Paul's time has come.
