I have had the privilege of working side by side with Tina Patterson as Linn-Mar volunteers and can wholeheartedly endorse her candidacy for the Linn-Mar Community School District Board of Education. As a former full-time teacher, Tina understands the demands of the classroom, and the needs of our children for effective learning.
Tina also has been a dedicated worker for the Linn-Mar district, from show choir chaperon to board of trustees president and eventually executive director for the Linn-Mar School Foundation. I have witnessed the drive and energy in her efforts, all motivated by a sincere interest in building upon the accomplishments of a great school district, and making it even better.
As a parent, Tina has experienced the benefits of the excellent education we provide. But it also has offered insight into the challenges we face as one of the fastest-growing school districts in the state of Iowa. Tina's background allows her to keep a perspective on the big picture while prioritizing the tasks at hand.
