Past decisions led electorate to current choices

History is filled with specific events/decisions that affected future outcomes. Below are some events/decisions that require this country to choose between an aged president and an aging former president.
Hillary Clinton used a private email server in 2009 as Secretary of State. While this was technically allowed, a later rule from 2009 required emails to be “preserved in the appropriate agency record-keeping system.” This was not done, which became public knowledge in early 2015. An FBI investigation concluded that her actions were careless, but not criminal.
James Comey reopened the investigation on Oct. 28, 2016, just 11 days before the election. A statement on Nov. 6, 2016 supported the original conclusion.
Donald Trump unexpectedly won the presidential election on Nov. 8, 2016.
Joe Biden was elected president on Nov. 3, 2020, just 17 days before has 78th birthday.
Joe Biden chose to run for re-election despite knowing that he would be 86 years old at the end of his second term.
I think that if Hillary Clinton had not used a private email server and had preserved all emails appropriately, she would have been elected president in 2016. And Donald Trump would not have experienced the power of the presidency.
I think that if Joe Biden had not decided to run for president again in 2024, then the Democratic Party would have selected a candidate who could more effectively argue with Trump in a debate. A younger candidate would not immediately turn off voters who think Biden is too old.
