On Feb. 17, I was running errands (which to my bride was foolish, weather being as it was). I turned into the north entrance to the CVS store/pharmacy on 42nd Street NE, ran over plowed snow and became stuck.
I was in this predicament for 30 minutes. While there, more than 30 women and men offered to help. I told them I had called a tow. One gentleman did not take this for granted. He went home and returned with a shovel, and he and a second man dug me out.
It was overwhelming the concern of fellow Cedar Rapidians. A special thanks to all.
