Party switch can cure what ails you

For the approximately 823,000 Iowa voters who voted to re-elect President Obama, reality is a bitter pill to swallow. The rollout of the Affordable Healthcare Act or Obamacare, President Obama's signature legislation, has been a fiasco. The president's highly touted and often repeated promise that, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it,” might very well be the epitaph of his presidency.
So what do we do now? Well, if you're one of those Iowans who voted to re-elect Obama and you've received a letter canceling your insurance plan, and now you're full of remorse, angst and loathsome fear, I have a home remedy.
Go down to your county auditor's office at your earliest possible convenience and change your party affiliation. Then call Democratic Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, the highest-ranking Iowa Democrat who supported the full implementation of Obamacare in Iowa, and let him know what you did. This treatment plan will allow you to feel better immediately and save you at least one trip to the doctor this coming year, I promise you. After all, if Obama can promise you a better health care plan, then so can I.
