Paramount concert was a delight

To the editor:
It was like a breath of fresh air to attend the Michael W. Smith concert on Sept. 23 at the Paramount Theatre.
From the time he, without any fanfare, stepped on the stage and sat at the piano, he sang and played many of the songs he had written through the years. Often he would invite those of us in the audience to join him. It was like a 1,000+ voice choir filling this beautiful venue as we sang praises to the Lord.
Phillips, Craig, and Dean, who have sung together for 25 years, favored us with many of their hit songs and also involved the audience in singing along. A welcome touch of humor by Mark Lowry added to the enjoyment of the evening. He also has a great voice, and when he sang 'Mary, Did You Know?”, my friend, Nancy, and I agreed that it was the best rendition of this lovely song that we had ever heard.
After intermission, we were treated to an impromptu session with all the artists on stage together, and even the instrumentalists in the background blended beautifully with all the songs.
As we left after the three hour concert, we were uplifted and thankful for such a great evening. We trust that they will come back again soon.
