Paint a full picture of life with a baby

Kathleen Parker's Wednesday column in favor of informing women before they have an abortion got me thinking: I am all in favor of education and I applaud her concern for the feelings of women who are ignorant of what their requests for termination of an unwanted pregnancy might mean.
I suggest it also would be a good idea to include in the educational video what a screaming infant looks like, what a short-tempered boyfriend can do to a helpless child and what the financial investment is in raising a “fully formed fetus.” Not to mention twins. Would that be too much information to convey?
I truly agree with Parker: It does “make sense to provide women with a view of what's going on inside their bodies before they take the leap that can't be undone.” But the waiting room of an abortion provider is not the right place for that. She insults the women who are neither ignorant nor thoughtless in making very personal choices about their lives.
