Owning a gun is a constitutional right

To the editor:
I recently watched with much amusement as the local news media delicately reported that the Iowa Department of Natural Resources officers were issued 'AR-15's” or the 'civilian model of the M-16” rifle. They paid $1,500 for each of them. Well, you can buy them all day long for $800 in a local sporting goods store, but, when you are spending other people's money, I guess anything goes.
Amazingly though, according to President Barack Obama and the rest of the liberal gun grabbers that want to infringe on our Constitutional rights, my AR-15 is a horribly dangerous 'assault” rifle.
