Our state leaders are as bad as federal ones

Last year, I wrote a letter suggesting that anyone applying for a hunting license should have to pass the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory test. After seeing some of the bills given priority and passed in Des Moines, I believe we may have to expand that to include anyone running for public office.
Polls show that
70 percent of Iowans did not want a season to kill mourning doves, yet the Legislature rammed it through. I'm wondering how much money went into their pockets from gun and ammunition manufacturers, hunting lobbyists and the NRA.
And let's give them applause for making alcohol more readily available by allowing it to be sold from nearly 250 convenience stores. This law compromises the safety of all Iowans for the sake of a few more dollars into the state coffers. This law also smells of more money from the alcohol and beer companies.
Des Moines has become as dysfunctional as Washington, D.C.
