Our perspectives are out of whack

Having a job won't matter. Paying bills won't matter. Getting a haircut won't matter. Having your nails done won't matter. Going out to eat won't matter. Going to the beach won't matter. Camping won't matter. Having fresh fruit and veggies from the farmers market won't matter. Bowling won't matter. Seeing a movie won't matter.

None of it will matter if you get sick and possibly die, or your kids get sick and possibly die, or anyone you love gets sick and possibly dies.

When your house is on fire and the fire department gets the fire under control, but not extinguished, you wouldn't get everyone back in the house, would you?

If you jumped out of a plane, opened your parachute and saw it worked you wouldn't take the parachute off, would you?

If you get cancer treatments and your tumors shrunk, you wouldn't stop the treatments, would you?

Do not be fooled; If we open things back up there will be a second wave; more will get sick, more will die.

Only in America would people complain about measures taken to protect citizens. We are a spoiled society when we value things like a haircut and a farmers market over keeping you and yours safe. We operate under this assumption that it can't happen to us. It can. Think about the one person you love most in this world. Do you really want to be responsible for their death?
