Obama’s words and health plans different
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Aug. 9, 2009 12:32 am
When President Barack Obama talks about his proposed health care plan, he restates three points: You can keep your present health care plan if you are happy with it; you still will be able to pick the doctor of your choice; and the new plan will be revenue neutral.
The plans that the U.S. House and Senate are writing seem to be entirely different from what Obama says. These plans say that you will not be able to keep your present health plan or pick the doctor of your choice, and the cost will be at least
$1 trillion more.
The plan used by Obama and Congress is the best in the country. If so, why write a new plan? Just give this plan to everyone. Why should the rest of the country be treated like second-class citizens with an inferior plan?
