Obama’s successes planned under Bush
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Sep. 13, 2012 2:10 pm
Sen. Barack Obama voted against the surge in Iraq and wanted a troop withdrawal. Now the George Bush plan that succeeded in Iraq is a high point of the Obama presidency. Obama just celebrated the second anniversary of the end of the war. Bush's fault.
President Bush pushed and got passed No Child Left Behind, working with the Democrats, which was proclaimed as Kennedy's greatest achievement at his funeral. Now Obama is granting waivers so states do not have to do it and blamed that on Bush.
Obama to his credit did not end the hunt for Osama bin Laden. But the plan was done under Bush. Remember how Vice President Joe Biden said that he told President Obama not to agree to the raid that killed bin Laden? What he did not say is that the president had canceled the raid three times before, according to sources (including New York Times best-selling author Richard Miniter).
