Obama’s spending less than past 4 presidents

“Always tell the truth,” my mother taught me. “If you don't tell the truth, how can anyone ever trust you?” Very true. When you listen to presidential candidates, it's a good idea to look for the truth!
Mitt Romney has spoken of the president's “spending inferno,” saying that all President Barack Obama has done is “spend, spend, spend!” Is that true? Check it out!
Obama has presided over the lowest growth in spending, at least since 1982 - only 1.4 percent (MarketWatch, Wall Street Journal). The past four presidents averaged a growth in spending of
6 percent.
Could this be called a “spending inferno”?
