Obama’s policies killing private job creation
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jun. 9, 2012 12:27 pm
Jobs do not come from government. Every dollar governments spend they take from the private sector in taxes. Government doesn't create wealth because it doesn't sell its services for more than it paid to produce them - governments create public debt.
Governments also destroy jobs by trying to pick winners, and in the process they create a loser who pays taxes to support the winner. Private wealth is the driver of job creation. In seeking wealth, people risk what they have for a chance to gain more. The private sector spends capital and hires people to create a product or service. When those are sold for more than cost, wealth and jobs are created.
When President Obama speaks down his nose at success, he is killing the American dream. Succeeding at the expense of others is class warfare. Coveting your neighbor's success and stealing their wealth is wrong. Spending tax dollars doesn't produce jobs because you eliminate jobs when you steal from your neighbor.
President Obama needs to stop the mean-spirited campaigning, get back to doing his job and stop running up the government bill. Vote for Mitt Romney to restore prosperity and reason.
