Obama’s marriage stance impacts family
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jun. 30, 2012 9:57 am
My cousin's son has been in a long-term, same-gender relationship. I am grateful to President Barack Obama for his clear stance that it is unjust to prevent couples in loving, committed relationships from marrying. John and his partner have a right to equal benefits.
In contrast, Mitt Romney opposes even civil unions, which could roll back rights which John and his partner currently depend upon.
Please vote for equality where everyone can play by the same set of rules. Re-elect President Obama.
