Obama’s adversarial tone is more of the same

Nearly a year has passed since the votes were counted and John McCain lost the election. McCain didn't promise to change the adversarial political tone in America but Barack Obama did.
I read two opposing editorials in the Oct. 17 Gazette, one in support of Fox News and one against Fox. I also read Garrison Keillor's “President accepted prize with grace, so should Republicans.” The political tones continue to be adversarial, in my opinion.
Keillor writes to chastise Republicans, not to emphasize a president's grace. It is obvious that along a continuum journalists and citizens take sides.
I think it's good for our country when opposing views spur discussions about what it is we oppose. People make claims about whose views/opinions/facts are more valid/superior/persuasive and by doing so the discussions perpetuate more discussions. For example, in my opinion, Obama's mockery of Fox News invites further mockery.
Is this a change or more of the same?
