Obama wants a bunch of bad policies
The Gazette Opinion Staff
May. 1, 2012 2:10 pm
President Obama wants to shut down coal-fired U.S. electrical generating plants in the U.S. and use only solar, wind nuclear and algae sources for electricity. Costs would be several times the present cost. Is this what the American people want?
Obama wants cars to be electric powered. These cars have a higher initial cost ($41,000 for a Chevy Volt), much shorter driving ranges (fewer than 100 miles), replacement batteries cost thousands of dollars and there are few places to recharge the battery. Obama wants to raise income taxes on almost everyone by killing the Bush tax cuts.
Obama wants to socialize the U.S. with ObamaCare, the government owning private corporation stock (GM), letting the Environmental Protection Agency run rampant, controlled banks and the mortgage industry.
Obama is spending the U.S. into bankruptcy with his trillion-dollar deficits annually. We will soon be another Greece.
Obama wants to continue to import half our oil from foreign countries rather than develop our own vast oil reserves off shore, ANWR and oil shale. The U.S. has reserves to supply all of our oil needs for hundreds of years.
Are all of these policies what the American people want?
If the American people don't agree with the president, they will have the opportunity to say so this November.
