Obama supports people, not the corporations

To the author of “some advice before you head to voting booths” (July 20 letter): Please explain why you think The Gazette is a “left leaning newspaper,” as they endorsed George Bush twice and also John McCain.
You state that “history tells us that when the taxpayer has more money ... this economy just keeps going.” That would lead me to be pleased that our president and Congress have decreased middle class taxes. It is puzzling, however, that George Bush and his Republican Congress' tax cuts for the rich ended up producing a disastrous economy with a plummeting stock market and high unemployment rates.
I voted for President Obama so that my children and grandchildren could be rewarded for an honest day's work, rather than ripping off their country, which corporations have been allowed to do thanks to the deregulation of Ronald Reagan and George Bush.
I sleep better knowing that my president is more concerned about doing what is right for the common person who serves his/her country rather than capitalists who are concerned only with their profits. If your business doesn't benefit our country, it should not exist.
