Obama squandered first 2 years in office

President Obama has stated that he cannot get anything done because of the Republicans in Congress, even though Democrats control the U.S. Senate. If one breaks that down, the Democrats took complete control of Congress in early 2007 with the installation of leaders Harry Reid in the Senate and Nancy Pelosi in the House. So if Obama is correct today about Congress not doing what he wants, how much do you suppose Congress did in 2007 and 2008 that President Bush wanted? Nothing.
What Obama's ads would have us believe is that Bush had free rein all the way through 2008, when in fact spending and oversight was controlled by Reid and Pelosi in Congress. As we also all remember, when Obama took office, he held filibuster-proof Democrat majorities in both houses of Congress; free rein to do whatever he wanted.
He likes to say he didn't understand how bad the economy was. Are we to believe it took him his first two years of office to figure out how bad the economy was as he wasted a full two years on what will be deemed an unconstitutional health care law?
As his former Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel stated, a good crisis should never be wasted - it sums up Obama's time in office.
