To the editor:
A July 22 letter 'Obama takes criticism with grace” stated that President Barack Obama would go down in history as a great president because he was able to handle criticism so graciously.
I believe his legacy will be in what he accomplished during his two terms as president.
' He was able to double the national debt.
' There are more citizens on food stamps than any time in our history.
' The armed forces are smaller than any time since before World War II.
' The 'reset” with Russia was a total fiasco and relations with Russia are the worst since the collapse of the USSR
' Besides all his failures, I am offended when I disagree with his policies and am called a racist. The racial harmony in this country has deteriorated during his tenure.
' The economy is not in the great shape he claims. The Fed still is printing billions of dollars per month to prop up the economy.
He stated that if the Congress doesn't do his will that 'I have a pen and phone and will govern by decree.” To decide which laws he will enforce or not is against the constitution and he should be held accountable.
