Obama has boosted small businesses

As a small-business owner and president of Compass Advertising, I am pleased to lend my support to President Obama and serve as a member of the Iowa Small Businesses Council for Obama. Having worked in advertising for 25 years, my industry has a unique ability to take the economic pulse of our area. When businesses struggle, advertising budgets are often the first to go so other costs can be met.
Since 2008, I have seen my business strengthen along with my clients because of Obama's support of small businesses, which create two out of every three new jobs. Obama has cut tax rates for small businesses, encouraged investment, supported start-ups, and extended billions of dollars in loans through the Small Business Administration, giving many small businesses access to the necessary capital to expand, invest and create more jobs.
In his second term, he plans to fund infrastructure development projects, invest in education and job training programs, and institute new tax credits for small businesses that hire or increase wages. Unlike Obama, Mitt Romney doubles down on the same failed policies of the past that caused the economic recession in the first place. He's proposed giving millionaires and corporations bigger tax cuts, while cutting education and infrastructure development.
I am proud to support a president who understands small businesses are the backbone of our economy and the cornerstones of our nation's promise.
