Obama doing fine in regard to private jobs
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jun. 21, 2012 12:20 pm
In response to “Obama's policies killing private job creation” (Gary Ellis, June 10 letter) that jobs do not come from government: He says private wealth is the driver of job creation. Then why when the rich Republican George Bush was president did we bleed millions of jobs the last year he was in? Why then did we go from a budget surplus to a large deficit in seven years?
President Obama may not be getting as many new jobs as he wants, but he hasn't had any cooperation from the GOP House either. Remember, Congress makes the law, Obama can't sign anything if they don't pass anything. The wealthy seem to be stashing their money and Mitt Romney is putting his in a 12,000-square-foot house with a car elevator. Is he creating jobs?
People need to read and listen to more than Fox to get the truth. At least since Obama took over, we have not gone down in private job creation. But many states have laid off public sector jobs.
The life of a democracy is 200 years; we are there, from bondage to bondage. Romney and the 1 percent would control all the rest of us.
