Nutcracker was a delightful performance

To the editor:
On Saturday past, hundreds of us, young and old, reveled in the world-class music, great facilities and, most importantly, the pep, energy, skills and pure joy on stage as scores of dancers performed The Nutcracker.
To me (the preparation and presentation by the Dancer's Edge folks notwithstanding) it was 90 minutes of the joys, peace, happiness and promise of those beautiful, happy young people, from little snowflakes to fairy princesses. To my eyes, ears and heart, it was a thankful respite from the horrors of the world reported excruciatingly loudly by scrambling cable news channels.
A needed break from the clown car political verbosity. And it was a clean, pure few minutes of happiness instead of the growing noise that has become Black Friday. That was all the Thanksgiving I needed. May we all have more of the same.
