Two years ago, it was hard leaving my father at the Heritage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, but he needed more care than we could provide at home. My father is a victim of Alzheimer's disease. I feel our whole family was victimized by the disease. It took Dad from us.
I have spent enough time at Heritage visiting Dad that I've seen a lot of remarkable people performing their everyday jobs. What a huge responsibility it is to care for so many people who are unable to care for themselves. I am impressed with the quality of care they give my father and the other residents. This includes nurses, aides, activity personnel and maintenance personnel.
It takes a lot of heart and hard work, so thank you Heritage staff, you are appreciated.
