I first heard John Norris and other candidates speak at the Democrats B-B-Q in October. At the end of those speeches people seated near me all agreed that Norris was the most inspiring. I thought that then, and I think that now.
I will support any of the outstanding Democratic candidates in the general election, but I hope voters take the time to become acquainted with Norris and to learn more about the experience and vision he brings to his candidacy. Norris knows how to make government work for the people. He works to preserve Iowa farmland. = His love and concern for Iowa is evident when he speaks of his respect for farmers, his concerns for the land, for the lakes and streams.
Norris is passionate about addressing mental health needs in the state, concern for those Iowans who are feeling left behind, his sorrow over the lack of adequate funding for schools and teachers.
There are many ways that Iowa is becoming a second-rate state. I believe Norris is the best candidate to help Iowa become the Iowa we once cherished.
Given the combination of his unique governmental policy experience and his rural Iowa farm roots, Norris is best suited to be the candidate who can bring voters together in the general election.
