No winners in a trade war

A trade war is not a win for anybody. It seems that at every obstacle, Trump doubles down. 'China did not and will not surrender,” according to a commentary in the state-run Xinhua News Agency on Tuesday Aug 27. 'Any political attempt to suppress or obstruct the Chinese economy will backfire on the U.S. economy and harm American business and consumers.”
In Trump's business life he doubled down often and had to declare bankruptcy four times. His lawyers and tax advisers helped him come out ahead. Now in this trade war, he does not care about our country's people and businesses, which are actually paying the tariffs he is imposing. They are also paying for the loss of business. When farmers lose, we all lose.
