No religion is better than another

To the editor:
After receiving on my answering machine a recorded Super Pac political message condemning all people who are not white, smart, and Christian, I am troubled.
I believe no race or religion is better than another. We are equal. We Christians have so much in common with Muslims. As recorded in the Old Testament, Abraham fathered two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. The Muslims consider themselves descendants of Ishmael. Jews and Christians descended from Isaac.
Christianity, Islam and Judaism all believe in one God. All three religions value family. All three endorse morality. All three wish for a peaceful world. All three espouse respect for others, especially the poor. All three abhor murder and the killing of innocent people. All three believe in the Golden Rule: 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
All three religions have small groups of radical or extreme believers, as noted in the political message I received, but that does not mean any one of these three religions is totally bad and the entire religion should be condemned.
