No reason for hunger crisis to exist today

I am 12 years old and want to inform people of world hunger.
The truth is that there is enough food on Earth for everyone to eat enough and get the nutrients they need. People who are hungry are suffering from chronic, persistent hunger, not famine. There are 1 billion people who are chronically hungry; at least 25,000 people die every day of hunger, including a child every 5 seconds.
We can easily stop hunger. People in Iowa alone throw out up to one-third of their food. Also, lots of food that hungry or malnourished people could eat goes into meat production. Twenty-five gallons of water, one gallon of oil and 11 pounds of grain go into one pound of meat. People who are suffering from world hunger and lack of water could use all of that. Instead, it goes toward a family's dinner.
