No one right way to look at religion
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I find it interesting that with more than 100 different religions in the world (all human created) that someone would try to tell me that they have the only one that is legitimate (“Jesus is God's free gift to the world,” May 25).
I have never believed that just because someone has two years of religious training that they can instruct me on what the creator of this universe has planned for my life. When I see the moon and stars and all the beautiful things He has created, I know someone more intelligent than me did it!
However, the majority of sermons from so-called clergy are so out of context with what is written in the Bible and remind me of a political advertisement.
My choice, therefore, is to do what I think is sensible, and I hope when I leave this earth that I won't have to stand in a line like getting into an Iowa football game or NASCAR to be seated in my condo on the streets of gold. Amen.
