No one can predict the future on health care

Re: “Keep our Medicare promise,” by U.S. Rep. Dave Loebsack, July 1. No one can predict the future, except Loebsack. Maybe an authentic seer can, but I have my doubts about that, too.
The main thrust of ObamaCare goes into effect in 2014, and no one, not even Loebsack, can with certainty make any statements about what ObamaCare will or won't do. Waivers have been granted to hundreds of organizations with more than 3 million employees with no definite procedure or set of criteria. Why? No one has answered that.
The president's total bill for health care - with an unfinanced “doctor fix” - shows massive deficits, not deficit reduction. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) cuts Medicare by $575 billion threatening seniors' access to care.
A close examination of what CBO said, as well as other evidence, makes it clear that the deficit reduction associated with the health care act is based on budget gimmicks, accounting tricks, and completely implausible assumptions. A more honest accounting reveals the new law as a trillion-dollar budget buster.
There will be thousands of pages of rules and regulations to implement this monster. ObamaCare is a disaster waiting to happen.
