No one can afford Miller-Meeks' 'fair tax'

Fair tax? NOT!
No one can afford Mariannette Miller-Meeks' radical tax prescription, her misnamed “fair tax.” First, she follows her party in lock-step to make sure that none of their millionaire friends are left behind by unabashedly supporting the Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.
Now she supports a tax system that would disproportionately affect middle class Americans by raising taxes 36 percent, or $3,714 for the average Iowan.
She wants to place a 23 percent sales tax on everything you purchase, whether it's your milk, gasoline, the car you drive or the house you own.
It is clear that Miller-Meeks does not understand the severity of having this tax slapped on hard-working Iowans. Congressman Dave Loebsack continues to be the choice for Iowans concerned about tax fairness.
