In case you aren’t feeling well, you may want to quit watching the news and stop the paper. That prescription may help you feel better or this letter may make you feel worse.
Not being a lawyer, how does the “king” have his own court? (Note: I don’t recall the former president having been in court. He may have had some close calls, but no judge and jury slamming him with guilty verdicts.) It appears Trump has a direct connection to the Supreme Court while it seems any other person has to work through the legal system.
President Donald J. Trump’s not so legal business goes back decades. In and out of court, preceded and followed by an army of lawyers, the cost must be staggering. For example, in today’s news he is asking the Supreme Court to allow DOGE to access Social Security records. He is mobilizing our legal system to be his.
Let’s save the worst for last. His felony conviction resulted from 34 fraudulent tax issues in New York. A judge suspended the fines and imprisonment due to his running for president. Trump is currently appealing his felony conviction.
We have not been blessed with a “normal” leader. Therefore, it is to be expected we will not be blessed with a “normal” term.
