No justice for children in drug, dog feces case
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Dec. 28, 2010 12:27 pm
The phrase “liberty and justice for all” must not apply to the two little boys, age 11 months and age two, who (allegedly) were left home alone while the father went to the convenience store (Dec. 17).
The two-year-old was found: no shoes, no coat, outside in the snow in subzero weather. Mom was at work, and despite drug charges, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, feces from their dogs on the floors, these precious children were left in Mom's custody. Wow! Why do we have emergency foster homes?
Do you think an emergency short-term home could have been used this night?
