No judicial activism in Iowa marriage ruling

Thank you the front page ad for the Tea Party attack on a Supreme Court judge (“Iowa GOP leader targets another justice for recall,” Aug. 2). That was so newsworthy. It definitely was not worthy of the front page. It was comparable to me saying Barack Obama is president of the USA and getting that printed on the front page.
The Supreme Court's decision was unanimous, ruling the law was unconstitutional. You cannot legislate discrimination. I think all of the court's justices except one are Republican appointees. All use strict constructionist tenets (core conservative philosophy) in making their decision. There was no judicial activism in the decision! It was black and white. No discrimination.
I can't believe I am defending a conservative decision. Read the law and the decision before you vote on retaining this Supreme Court justice. If he's voted out, his replacement will come up with the same result. Unless Alfred E. Neuman gets in.
