No future for children saddled with huge debt

In a campaign that is overflowing with half-truths and circumstantial falsehoods, I find it interesting that the letter written by a Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney critic just flat-out calls them “liars” on several instances (“Romney and Ryan are lying about Medicare,” Sept. 4, Barbara Sherman). This just shows how low our presidential campaigns have stooped and how certain people are not even willing to attempt to make an objective choice.
Perhaps her last sentence, “Vote Obama and protect the future for our children and grandchildren,” is the key statement. With the national debt surpassing $16 trillion, there is going to be no future for our descendants unless they plan on living off the government on welfare and other handouts.
Personally, I want my children and grandchildren to work for their living and pay their “fair” share of taxes.
