No evidence presented that lead killing eagles

Referencing the Dec. 11 letter from Patricia Haines of West Des Moines (“Lead killing eagles, endangering humans”): She uses the term “imagine” twice. She never says that lead in the environment is killing eagles.
Also, I defy her to prove that any eagles have died in Iowa from “lead poisoning.” If 80 eagles have died, you would see the Department of Natural Resources up in arms to stop whatever is causing the deaths.
She sounds to me like one more anti-gun/anti-hunting/left winger who wants to stir up trouble for law-abiding people of Iowa.
Haines, please state your political agenda clearly so we can all know exactly what you want to happen!
