No constitutional health care guarantee

In a Feb. 21 letter (“More guns means more will need medical care”), a local liberal academic claimed Republicans are invoking the Constitution to ensure Americans have access to guns. He said on the other hand they're invoking the Constitution in order to limit Americans' access to medical care.
The right of private citizens to keep and bear arms is guaranteed by the Constitution. That document says nothing about guaranteeing Obamacare. You'd think a college professor would understand that.
